ARC kindly provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.NOTE: This review is going to be laced with mild spoilers, so please care while reading, or read no further. This is a BDSM short about a woman trying to get over the loss of her Dom, by going to a BDSM club "just to look". My problem with this story was immediate, because one minuet the story goes from a woman looking over an auction (refusing to partake), to a duel perspective shift of a man being lead into a room by the woman that just purchased him. The transition felt very off. Then, the next 50% of this 13k word story is about a woman washing a man in the shower. I actually went back and reread the description to make this was erotica. Why set up this elaborate, sexy shower scene? She then proceeds to preform fellatio, while shedding tears for her ex-Dom who has passed away and never really loved her. I was about ready to give this a one star review, but then as she is leaving the room because her time was up, the Dom stepped up and made the story readable. Good sex, good kink, good story explanation on what the fuck was actually happening. It actually enticed me to read more by this author.TLDR; Ok short story, but working your way through the first half is a little painful.

In this story Dana is getting over someone and goes to a BDSM club with the hopes of with the auction this one night that she can have sex, and move on with her life. That is her plan. Eric agrees to the auction and for this one night subs get to be in charge. The thing is no one know who they are auctioning on. This is exactly what Dana needs and when she wins Eric they actually are a good match and he feels that she needs to take things slow and that is what happens. This is a good story and though there is sex scenes the story is just not about sex it is a person dealing with losing a loved one and her way of working through the grief that it has caused her. This goes deeper than just what I am describing. A very good book and a short story with emotion. I got this book from net galley. Follow us at

So full disclosure KB asked me to check this out before it hits stores and I just had to review it. I fucking cried. Like half way through I had tears leaking on to my pillow. KB is an great writer, but I did not to expect to be all weepy from a BDSM short. If you like light kink, READ THIS! OMG READ IT! Super sweet Dom, a heroine who is working through some realistic stuff and there's a HFN ending. READ IT! That is all.

"No, sir. Just you. Just your orders. And your touch."Title: Perfect StrangerAuthor: KB AlanRate: BThoughts: This is a sexy little short story about a women trying to get back into the BDSM scene after her former Dom dies. She honestly planned to re-enter the scene slowly, but after her eyes lock onto Eric at a charity auction, she can't help but bid on him! But what is she going to do with him not that she has two hours in his company - and the playroom of her choice to play in?It's always a bit iffy with these short stories for me - sometimes they feel incomplete, sometimes rushed, etc. I enjoyed this one - however, it did feel a bit like someone just took out a few chapters of a full length novel and said, "Here you go!" I wanted more - which is a good thing...:) The negative part? It just seemed a bit incomplete to me. I also didn't feel a complete connection to the characters because of the length. Additionally, considering the characters just met, it felt a bit unrealistic that Dana would confide so much into Eric. All in all, it was good story and a good read - particularly if you're looking for a quick read. I would be very interested to see what the author can do with a full-length novel. This was my first book by this author, but I will be looking for more by the author...:)This is 2.5 in the Perfect Fit series and is preceded by Perfect Formation and Perfect Alignment.

Night Owl Review****4 1/2 stars****Original Review Published here: Stranger is the 2.5 book in the Perfect Fit series by K.B. Alan. While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel with ease. Dana goes to a BDSM club with the intent to move forward in her life. While she goes in with the intent to watch it quickly turns into something else when she finds out there is an auction that allows her to put her past to rest. Eric is a Dom who is part of the auction because he lost a bet. Eric is quick to understand there are deeper motives behind Dana’s actions and allows her to run the show. The connection between Eric and Dana is intense. I liked that Eric allowed Dana to have the control she needed because he could see that she needed to do what she was doing. The sex scenes were well done and were integrated into the overall story very well, so the story did not seem like one sex scenes after another. This book is well written with a unique plot. The main characters were interesting. This is a short story at 43 pages. All the sections of a good story are included. The ending of the story was well done even though it was a bit predictable, but it was expected due to the short story. Overall, this was a great story.

Perfect Stranger is a really quick read but I enjoyed it. It takes place in a BDSM club where there is a charity auction where you can buy two hours of a Dom's time. Eric doesn't have a sub right now, so he thought it could be the occasion to be with a shy sub who didn't approach him before or a sub who wanted an encore. But Dana doesn't fit in any of these categories. He was surprised but also curious about how he could help her. She has some issues to work on and when she saw Eric on that stage, she took the opportunity to do what she needs. This short story was different from what I've read before and I liked it. The bdsm elements were light and it wasn't too much. I honestly didn't mind because it was more about coping in a sweet way. It wasn't long and maybe the end was a little abrupt and I would've liked to see a little more of Eric, but it's a novella so I expected it. I wouldn't mind reading another. ***ARC received through Netgalley in exchange of an honest review***

I really enjoyed this short story. Dana is getting over the loss of her Dom. She is grieving the fact that she couldn't take care of him. She heads to a club, owned by a friend. When an auction takes place, she at first has no intention of participating. But that quickly changes when she sees the first 'sub' brought out. She decides that the best way for her to move on is to scene with one, so she bids.Eric is a Dom, participating in the annual charity auction. When he's purchased by a woman he's never seen before, he's curious as to what she wants. He's very surprised when she expects him him to sub, when she's very clearly one herself. KB takes us on a journey of healing and letting go in this short story. Eric let's Dana do what she needs in order to move forward. It's a sweet, easy read, and it fits in well to her Perfect Series.

This was a short read and I enjoyed the element of the story. Eric is caught off guard by Dana. The dom's lost a bet and now they are dressed as subs on stage for auction. The irony of it Dana does not know they are dressed as subs but are truly Doms and intend to run things. Eric seems so confused to how the night takes its turn when Dana bids for him and wins. They seem to scene well with each other. I would really like to see where this couple goes. I hope we will be seeing them in the future. Their connection is palpable. The characters were strong for a novella. You understood each person and what they were thinking and feeling. I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley for my honest review. Thank You, Net Galley!

You know when you're standing in line like at the grocery store, bus stop or whatever line you happen to be in and get bored yeah, this book fills that time frame that's how short, sweet and to the point it is. Which I happen to like because let's face it I hate standing in line being bored out of my mind. Eric he's a different kind of Dom one that lives outside peoples expectations, "you should probably go home. But I'd like to see you again. When you're ready. Both inside the club, and outside." He wanted to see where this might go." I mean the boy has some brass balls, but he's just different and I liked that, "you're staring at my naked d***." I hope KB has some more little novella's like this to pass the time in those dreadful lines.

This is a hot, very emotional, very quick read. It can easily be read over a lunch hour. I have not read any of the other books in this series but I know find myself intrigued and will likely be looking for more. This is the story of Eric and Dana. Dana has come to the club not really knowing what she wants but when she wins Eric in the Dom auction he is determined to give her anything she needs. I really liked these characters in spite of not really getting to know them well and I hope the might visit in a future book, or even have a more extended story of their own. If your looking for a quick read with plenty of heat and emotional wallop than look no farther. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through. Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this book because from the start I was more than a little confused. It's starting with a woman who's trying to figure out what to do next after losing her Dom. She's going to a BDSM club to look, and there is an auction going on that she refuses to take part in. Okay...plausible....then the next thing we have Eric being lead to a room by Dana. A little bit more would have been nice......Then we go into a weird scene of Sub topping Dom, and Dom taking back control...and it goes from there. it was good but confusing and weird.

Even though this was a short story it was really good. Short but sweet! It had a good story, hot sex with sweetness. The story leads you to believe there is going to be more than just Dom and sub in the future of these two. I wished the story was longer and you could see how the two wound up. Though it was short it is well worth reading.

Received an ARC to review I'm a little at a loss of how to describe this. It was way too short, but I'm hoping there will be another book with Eric and Dana to finish their story. This one tugged at your heart strings a little too much for a BDSM. I don't know it just was missing something.
