REVIEW:The story:I was actually quite surprised that 2nd book in the series was a continuation of Lucah & Rory's story. Since I felt their story had reached it's conclusion, I was a little worried that this book might be a little flat and boring, however Cameron proved me wrong! With an exciting new story, with the board of directors trying to overthrow Rory & her father, Rory's new assistant, and ex girlfriend turning up, there was plenty of action going on. Not to mention we are treated to a lot more scenes involving Lucah's brother Ryder, which I was trilled about! He's troubled and damaged, but his connection with Sloane was intense and their story has been set up perfectly for the 3rd book in the series, which focusses on their story! The characters:We learn a lot more about Lucah's past, and see a new vulnerable side to him. He's been very closed off about his childhood, and doesn't like to talk about his parents. However with his brother around, it's impossible for him to ignore it and watching him confront some of his grief was heartbreaking.Rory is a bit stronger in this book, however she's still the worrying overachieving girl I loved from Sweet Surrendering. She's does struggle to deal with Ryder's presence at first, with the two of them clashing heads numerous times. However I felt that she handled everything really well - much better than she would have before she met Lucah.Ryder, oh what can I say about this dark brooding mess of man. He's got many many issues and has a filthy mouth, but that's what makes him so irresistible. He and Sloane have such a strong attraction to one another and she brings out a very different side to him, which I'm excited to see more of in the next book. The romance:I have to say that I was thrilled that Lucah & Rory's romance didn't follow the usual trend of having a massive fight or break up just for the sake of creating unnecessary romantic drama. In fact their romance grew stronger than ever and even though they were faced with many problems, they overcame them together. I absolutely loved their new little tradition of sharing their worries each night before going to sleep, it was so sweet! And of course Chelsea doesn't disappoint on the sexiness, with lots of yummy scenes to enjoy! The Writing:I've read several of Chelsea's books now and am coming to love her unique and quirky voice. All her characters have a hilarious sense of humour, with incredible one liners than have me in stitches. She's writes character that I wish were real, just so I could be friends with them!FINAL WORD:With an exciting new story and fresh new characters introduced, this made for an excellent sequel. I can't wait to see Sloane & Ryder's story play out in the next installment, I have a feeling it's going to be amazing!CONTENT:Sexuality: strong / several sex scenesViolence: noneLanguage: medium-strong / frequent f wordsDrugs & alcohol: mild More reviews at The Reading Realm

Rory and Lucah are now living together, working in the same company (although he is no longer her assistant/corporate spy), and living down the hall from her bestie Sloane. They are navigating their new relationship, enjoying frequent sexy times, and dealing with new work issues. They are also meeting and spending time with each other's families. It starts out pretty sweet, but it is not long before they are facing some significant challenges in their lives and having to deal with the drama and fall out and make adjustments. ...the pain was between us. So many things that seemed to be getting between us lately. But I trusted him, trusted us. Trusted what we had.I enjoyed seeing the progression in their relationship since the first book and how much more open and honest they are now with each other. Their chemistry is still hot and they still have a hard time controlling themselves. But their new relationship has to undergo some more trials. I adore Lucah! He is outspoken, confidant, funny, supportive, and completely enamored of Rory. He is good to her friends and just an all around great guy especially now that he is able to be honest about everything in his life. He is finally putting down roots after living a nomadic existence as a corporate spy. But he struggles with guilt about letting his brother down and still is affected by loss in his past. He literally broke my heart a couple of times when we got to see his deep emotions and fear."I love you so much that I can't breathe sometimes. How did I find you?" Rory is sassy, smart, and just a bit OCD and neurotic. But she is strong and capable. She is a Vice President with power and position, but also really cares about those around her and doing the right thing. She has some family issues of her own to worry about that are all tied up with her Dad's company. And she is also training a new assistant very different from Lucah. Rory's best friend and former roomie, Sloane is a busy fashion designer who loves to take care of her friends. But she is a bit lonely and depressed since Rory moved in with Lucah...even if they are right down the hall. She is passionate, hilarious, and a little bit intrusive. She also has just a bit of a crush on Lucah's brother, Ryder."He lights my fire. Blows my skirt up. Pushes my buttons. However you want to say it. That boy makes me f***ing hot." Ryder is a big mess. He is troubled, has a checkered past, and lots of current issues. But I loved his sense of humor and outspoken personality. He has a magnetism about him even when being an asshole, and he grew on me more and more.Ryder had done it all. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll, leaving a trail of heartbroken women in his wake.I loved them as a foursome and their interactions that ran the gamut from akwardness to humor to tension to passion at a fast pace. I see a lot of potential for Ryder and Sloane and I am looking forward to more in the future with them. I also liked seeing more with Ryder and Lucah's other brother, Tate and his wife and their girls. The kids added extra humor and adventures. This was a funny, fast paced, sexy, and engaging sequel told in Rory's point of view. It had corporate intrigue, beautiful exes, bad boy brothers, lonely friends, traumatic situations, and forbidden workplace romance (although they were out of the closet with more people this time, it is still against the rules). The characters are quirky and likable. There are multiple story lines occurring causing drama. There are steamy scenes and passion. And even a little emotional turmoil thrown in. I really enjoyed this sweet, sexy, and humorous installment. I am so glad that there will be another book in this series, Dark Surrendering with more of Sloane and Ryder. And I am sure we will see more of Lucah, Rory, and her friends Marisol and Fin. There are definitely some story lines that can continue. Thanks to Chelsea M. Cameron for providing me with an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. Will be posted at Reviews by Tammy and Kim.

4.5 stars!I LOVED the first book in this series and if I'm honest, I wasn't really expecting another book to Rory and Lucah's story! I was really excited when I heard the author was giving them another book though! I'll start by saying that this book took me two attempts to read, which is why I took it down half a star! I started reading it, got about 25% through it and then I felt like something was missing, so I stopped reading! I then picked it up about a week later and started reading from where I left off from! I fell in love with it! It was like I was reading the exact same Rory and Lucah from the first book! I did feel like their characters had changed slightly, but obviously they had developed from the first book! The plot of this book was written brilliantly! It was jam packed with showing how far Rory and Lucah's relationship had developed and then there were some things and new characters introduced that sort of tested their relationship and it leaves the reader wondering if their relationship's going to survive! The plot was fun to read and there were plenty of hot scenes! And I mean hot scenes! I actually think there were more hot scenes in this book than the first book lol! The characters were again amazing! Rory was again the main character and this book was again told from her point of view! I didn't really connect with Rory at the beginning of this book, but as it progressed, I started to connect with her more and by the middle, I loved her just as much as I did in the first book! She was quite a witty character and she had a serious devilish side to her as well! I loved when Rory let herself go and didn't put on the business face! She was a much more relaxed character when she let herself go! I loved Rory's relationship development with her boyfriend, Lucah! There were times when I thought their relationship wasn't going to last or something was going to get in the middle of them, so I was happy when I got to the end lol! Lucah was again the love interest of Rory and he was still super hot in this book! He isn't the hottest male character I've read, but he still pretty hot! I loved Lucah in this book because he was always there for Rory and he helped her every step of the way as she was going through some tough things! I loved that Lucah's brother, Ryder was in this book more! He was such a funny character, even though he was a bit of an ass! Ryder added a lot to the plot and was such a great character! The ending of this book was so beautiful, but a tiny bit rushed! I loved the epilogue though! I'm not sure if there's going to be another book or maybe a novella to Rory and Lucah's story, but I do see potential for a book for two other characters who have played quite a big part in this series, Ryder and Sloane! I'm super happy to discover that the author is writing them a book and it's called Dark Surrendering! I cannot wait to read it and see more of Ryder, of course ;) I love the cover for this book! It suits the first book's cover perfectly and I do have to say that it's pretty, damn hot! Big thank you to Chelsea for an ARC of Surrendering to Us and to InkSlinger PR for having me on the Blog Tour!

2.5 Stars!! Source: eARC for Honest Review from Author I did like the first book....... So I wanted to read more. For some reason I thought this book was going to be more about Sloane and Ryder because I wasn't sure how much more Lucah and Rory there could be.This book basically picks up briefly after where the last book left off with Lucah now working for Clarke industries but in a different department than Rory AKA Ms. Clarke. Lucha and Rory are making their way with their new relationship. As they get into their relationship groove things seem pretty smooth but you know that's not going to last too long. Throughout the book NO MATTER what story line was going on the one constant was there was a whole lot of this going on...Rory is trying to find her way at work without Lucah to help her. Now she has a new assistant and a new hire who happens to be a blast from Lucah's past. With this story line I thought it was going to be more scandalous then it actually was. With the way this part of the story played out I was more let down then anything. I liked having more Sloan and Ryder in this book as I feel like it needed more than just Rory and Lucah and with this I'm now more intrigued to continue the series to see how that story line is going to pan out.In the end I did like the story, it took me a bit to get into but I am torn thinking did we need a whole other book on Lucah and Rory or could we have done with just a big epilogue in the first book.In the end it was cute but at times predictable and very repetitive. Rory and Lucah are back for more!Their journey started in Sweet Surrendering should be read prior to starting Surrendering to Us.Rory found her prince charming in Lucah. They battled through difficult situations and had a rough start, but their love conquered all. Now they can put the past behind them and move on as a happy couple, right? Of course it isn’t that easy…Rory and Lucah are presented with plenty of new challenges in this continuation of their story. Rory has her job to worry about and the stability of her father’s company after the scandal that blew through. Even with the dust settled, there is plenty of drama still around. Rory is constantly concerned about what the future holds for her career. Lucah hung up his corporate spy hat in exchange for a more stable position. This way he gets to remain in one city indefinitely and can live with Rory. It appears they at least have their personal lives figured out.The separation between the office and home was a very interesting aspect. I feel this added a fun twist that wasn’t expected. Rory and Lucah become Miss Clarke and Mr. Blythe within the confines of Clarke Enterprises. I loved the added tension and anticipation they felt by the forced separation. Rory and Lucah had to step into different professional roles which they played perfectly. All the secondary characters added plenty of additional excitement and trouble. Sloane was her usual self lack any boundaries. Ryder causes plenty of problems and stirs up issues at every turn. We get to know a lot more about Lucah’s past and his family. Tate balances things out between the brothers. Lilia and Violet made Rory’s life a lot easier.I appreciated the perfect mixture of heat and drama. I was always teetering on the edge of what to expect but something else would pop up. Surprises keep me intrigued! You all will love Rory and Lucah. They are an amazing pair!4.5 Diamonds

~Arc provided by the Author in exchange for an honest review~4 Sexy StarsAfter all Lucah's secrets have been exposed. Lucah and Rory are finally together but still keeping it a secret due to the no dating policy. Rory is longer his boss but Lucah still works for Clark Enterprise in a different department. They have moved into together, right down the hall to Rory's former roommate and best friend Solan. Ryder is Lucah's younger brother, the black sheep of the family. He OD's and lands himself in the hospital so Lucah take it upon himself to take of his brother by moving him into their extra bedroom. if that's not a enough for the couple to handle, a blast from Lucah's past is hired on at Clark enterprise. Can true love conquer all?"Touching or kissing was out of the question, no matter how much we both wanted to. We kept a strict three-foot space between us. It was almost sexier that way. I could feel the desire building already and I knew that neither of us was going to get much sleep tonight."Surrendering to Us is sexy, heart warming and drama filled! And you have Ryder and Solan for comic relief. Chelsea gives us more insight to Rory and Lucah's family and their backgrounds. The characters are so easy to love and connect with, AND their chemistry, its HOT!!! If you are a contemporary romance fan, then the Surrendering Series is one I would recommend adding to your TBR list. "He moved away from me and picked up the briefcase. I couldn't imagine what he could have in there, but he popped it open and pulled something out. Sticky Notes. And a Pen. He held them up so I could clearly see what they were. Then he came back over. He leaned his head down and wrote something on one of the notes. He held it up for me to see. MINE. Written in bold, slashing lines. He pulled the note from the rest of the stack and put it on my forehead."

http://storiesandswag.blogspot.com/20...Surrendering to Us, the second book in Chelsea M. Cameron’s Surrender Saga, is an intoxicating blend of drama, sex, and heart-warming bliss! I am mildly obsessed with everything Chelsea M. Cameron writes. She was one of the first Indie authors I read, and I’ve been a huge fan for a while now. I fell in love with Aurora “Rory” Clarke and Lucah Blythe (a.k.a. Lucas Blaine) in Sweet Surrendering, the first of the series. My love for this power couple only flourished with this second book. Rory is a headstrong, career oriented woman who works at her father’s company. She’s always put her professional life before her personal until meeting Lucah. Lucah is the definition of irresistible. He began working for Clarke Enterprises as a corporate spy, but ended the first novel as the perfect companion for Rory. I loved watching their relationship continue to progress. The story does not skimp on the sex and there are plenty of tender, swoon-worthy moments, too. There is such playfulness yet passion between these characters, and they are one of my favorite book couples. Chelsea also gives us more insight into the characters’ backgrounds and families. I loved getting to know more about the supporting characters (namely Ryder and Sloane). These characters provided a lot of comic relief during the more tense moments. Overall I am absolutely smitten with this story. Surrendering to Us has laughter, drama, and a story line that is pure satisfaction. I’ve fallen in love with these characters and cannot wait for the next installment (Dark Surrendering – Ryder and Sloane’s story). Once again, Chelsea M. Cameron has delivered a novel that every reader can (and should) enjoy.

In Sweet Surrender Lucah and Rory´s story started. In Surrendering to Us it continues. Now that Lucah´s secret was discovered, these two are finally living together. There are also working together although Rory is no longer his boss.I love how both of them grew in this book. How they love each other and how they couldn´t stand to be separated for too long. But their relationship wasn´t so easy. It was challenged and they had to overcome those challenges.I really enjoyed reading this book and couldn´t stop until I finished it. Chelsea really did an amazing job with the plot. Can´t wait to read Sloane and Ryder’s story.≧◔◡◔≦ 4.5 ✰ read ≧◉◡◉≦>>>Complimentary copy provided by author in exchange for an honest review<<<

Oh sexy charming Lucah *sigh*swoon*fans oneself* He is easily one of my favorite book boyfriends and he and Rory one of my favorite couples. Their dynamic is sexy, funny, snarky, and all around perfect. Love them!!!! Spoiled much?Found 3 typos, and Rory is a spoiled brat that has everyone do everything for her. Her boyfriend seriously does her hair for her. She's kind of pathetic and Micah isn't any better.

Read this and other reviews at - Madison Says3.5 StarsI wasn’t at all surprised to learn that Rory and Lucah’s story would continue with Surrendering to Us. While I sincerely liked Sweet Surrenderings, the ending left much to be desired. Their story just seemed…unfinished, and to a degree it still feels that way.So many things seemed to be getting between us lately. But I trusted him, trusted us. Trusted what we had.Rory and Lucah have moved in with one another, are working with one another, and are about to face some pretty large obstacles for a blooming romance. Rory’s father, Walter, is in quite the pickle. The board of directors at Clark Enterprises want him out. They’re not only after Walter, but Rory, too. If that’s not enough stress, add Ryder to the mix. In Sweet Surrendering we’re introduced to his destructive tendencies and in Surrendering to Us, they only get worse. Through a twist of fate, Ryder ends up moving in with Rory and Lucah. You can imagine how that goes. Also, keep in mind that Sloane lives right down the hall… hubba hubba. Alright, maybe not as hubba hubba as I wanted it to be. *sigh* Tack on an unexpected new employee who just so happens to know Lucah – very well – and you have quite a story. There is something so proper about Rory. It makes me want to scream! I understand that you’re the VP in a pretty successful company and all that jazz, but you don’t have to talk like an 80 year old woman. You’re what? 23? 25? Something like that. Act like it. Sheesh. She also worries about everything. Like…EVERYTHING. It’s okay to let go. Breathe. Life is not that serious. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen. I think she almost had a coronary waiting to see what her father was going to do about his position in the company. Sometimes you have a trust other people to take care of things, even if it scares the bejesus out of you.“I love you, too,” he whispered. “Thank you for being here.”“There’s nowhere else I’d rather be. I belong with you.”Lucah was much more, uh what’s the word I’m looking for? Intense? Responsible? Of a buzz kill? Sensitive? I dunno. I guess all of them work to one degree or another. He had to assume the ‘big bad brother’ role, and did so quite well. Changing your identity constantly can make it easy for you to avoid facing tough circumstances in life. That’s exactly what Lucah has been doing in regards to his parents’ death. It’s easy to avoid those feelings when you’re not that person. Naturally, Rory is a little fearful that Lucah will regret his decision to give up his life as a ‘corporate spy’ to be with her. I think I’d have a similar fear. This is her first real relationship and she’s fallen hard. It’s scary to think you could lose all that because the other person has had enough of being themselves. Not exactly something most people have to think about.“I love you, Sunshine. You’re the first person, other than family that I’ve ever allowed myself to be me with. You snuck your way into my life and before I knew it, I couldn’t get rid of you, even if I wanted to.”For me, Ryder and Sloane made this story. Give me a broken man with yummy tattoos, a rock hard body and a gruff attitude any day. I love that he’s so closed off, because when he finally opens, it will be absolutely beautiful. There’s something about Sloane that makes his closed off icy exterior melt. I absolutely adore Sloane. She’s super. Seriously. Something about her demeanor draws me to her. I guess I’m as much of a sucker as Ryder is. Dark Surrendering cannot get published fast enough!Surrendering to Us isn’t as hot as Sweet Surrendering. There are a few steamy sex scenes, but nothing like the office trysts in the first book. Chelsea writes little tidbits here and there to let us know that they’re screwing like rabbits, but we don’t actually get details for a good portion of those humping sessions. I felt that the storyline was a little less intense as well. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. For Lucah to do something stupid or for Rory to make an assumption causing some unnecessary drama. It never came. I think Violet’s character could have caused a shit ton of drama. She was so tame. I just wanted more, I guess. And what the heck is the obsession with ending each of these books with a ball of some sort or another? Hopefully I’ll get the ‘more’ I’ve been searching for in the third installment of the Surrender Saga. Come on Ryder and Sloane. Don’t let me down!

3.5/5 starsI really enjoyed this second book in the Surrender Saga! I've said it before and I'll say it again- I really like Chelsea's writing style. She does such a great job of making you feel like you're an active participant in her novels, rather than just a reader on the outside looking in. There were some times where I wanted to respond back to Rory because she would make a comment in her mind that would be so real and funny and I could completely connect with her.I do feel that Lucah and Rory's relationship has progressed rather quickly. They are in that all-consuming, passionate love stage in their relationship and I like that in this novel we see them start to really transition into discovering more about one another. Lucah has a hard time opening up and talking about his past, as it is very difficult for him. However, I feel it is important for him to share that past with Rory no matter how painful. When Lucah does open up to Rory, she is empathetic and supportive and I really love that about her. She doesn't push him to open up, but when he does she is there for him in just the way he needs. I also liked the two started talking about their future together. They are already living with one another and logically we know what the next step would be. Rory isn't afraid of commitment, but marriage is a whole other ballgame. Seeing her realize what she wants out of her relationship with Lucah is a really big growing point for her and I'm glad we got to see that. I loved Rory's best friend Sloane in the first book and I love her just as much here! She's a great friend to Rory and I like that Rory didn't abandon her for Lucah. Rory is very conscious of Sloane and not making her best friend feel like a third wheel. When Sloane needs her, she's there no questions asked and vice versa. At the end of Sweet Surrendering, we met Lucah's wild brother Ryder and I was excited to see him show up again in this book. He is rough around the edges and has ALOT of issues to sort through and deal with, as well as a drug problem. The only person he really lets himself be tender with is Sloane and watching the two interact was probably my favorite part of the novel. Ryder doesn't want to be coddled by his brother and definitely lashes out against him more often than not, but you can tell deep down he appreciates his brother being there for him. I am really excited for their story in Dark Surrendering. It's going to be one of those dark, emotional, beautiful stories and I can't freaking wait.We also got to meet Lucah's nieces, as well as his older brother Tate and his wife April. Family is really important to Lucah and I liked seeing him bring Rory around to meet the important people in his life after keeping her in the dark. Gracie and Fiona are adorable and Rory did a great job of interacting with them. Sloane on the other hand? I died with laughter when she met them the first time! We do have a bit of added drama in this book. Rory's father's company is dealing with the backlash that came with an embezzling scandal that took place in the previous novel. In lieu of this, concern is raised as to what the best course of action concerning the company will be. They have already gotten rid of those involved and have now hired new interns and assistants. One of them being Lilia, Rory's new personal assistant. Lilia is shy and easily intimidated, but ends up being a good friend for Rory to vent to and confide in. Violet Cooper is another new player and based on her past interactions with a certain someone, I was naturally wary of her. She is confident, self-assured, and a no-nonsense kind of girl, and she is determined to excel at her job. Like Rory, women in the corporate world have to fight tooth and nail to be heard and work hard to be taken seriously. There are so many facets of this story that I enjoyed- I enjoyed meeting the new characters, as well as watching Rory and Lucah's relationship develop and transition into something more than just passion and sex. Oh, and of course let's not forget watching Sloane and Ryder's relationship start to develop. I can't wait to see where Cameron takes the characters and the story in book 3! *Received a copy of this book via InSlingerPR and the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.*

**ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.**When I think of authors that are my all-time favourites and set the benchmark for everyone else.. Chelsea is in that category of authors. I can’t even begin to explain how much I have adored every single novel I’ve read that has been written by Chelsea. I can tell you now that there had been a fair few. Surrendering To Us has proven that she can write a kick-ass series!I instantly fell in love with Rory and Lucah in Sweet Surrendering, and I’ve been waiting patiently to continue on with their story. Let’s just say that there may have been some screaming, a little bit of awkward dancing and a whole lot of fangirling when this book hit my iPad. Surrendering To Us was everything I hoped it would be and I was not disappointed at all. I am in awe of the world that Chelsea created. With Rory and Lucah finally progressing with their relationship, they are still hiding from the eyes of the company. The connection between these two characters is undeniable and I never doubted for a second that the speed bumps they face this time around would be treacherous for their relationship. I honestly believe that their love for each other could stand the tests of time. It feels real, it feels right, and it is incredible to be apart of the journey as the characters develop.Rory is everything I aspire to be; she’s independent, successful and inspiring. I love how she accepts her intelligence and portrays herself with this unique sassiness that is entertaining and draws you into every page. Throughout the novel Rory is faced with many issues; some relating to Lucah and some relating to her father and the family company. I thought that the story line was incredible as it not only focused on the relationship between Rory and Lucah, but the betrayal of those you trust the most. It gives insight into the idea that sometimes the only person you can trust is yourself.Lucah is just a total babe. If every man was like him, then the world would be an extremely happy place. He deals with a lot through out the novel. Between his family and Rory’s, they have enough drama to last a life time. I love the way that he deals with everything. It definitely goes to show how much he cares for those that he loves. I just really wanted to give him a big hug in those moments when my heart just ached for him.The biggest revelation out of this book was the suspicious connection between Rory’s best friend, Sloane and Lucah’s brother, Ryder. I am excited that we get to follow their journey sometime in the near future with Dark Surrendering, because I was so intrigued by their story. This sequel was fun, sexy and incredible. Not only was it everything I hoped for, but I loved every minute of my time with Rory and Lucah. This book contains everything you need for a fast paced, entertaining and memorable read. Between the character development and the story line, Chelsea hit me right in the heart with this one and I could not be more happy with the ending. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series!

I really enjoyed Sweet Surrendering, the first book in this series, and came to love the main characters in the story, Lucah and Rory, so I was anxious to see what was going on in their world in Surrendering to Us. Though not as intense and a bit slower paced than the first book, I really enjoyed Surrendering to Us a lot. Rory and Lucah are such likable characters, the kind that tend to really grow on you, and not only is the chemistry between them sizzling hot, but there is a lot of humor, they really love each other and have so much fun together, and I loved seeing what develops into a rock solid relationship. They are both just so personable that you can't help but get attached to them. Now a couple, they still have to hide their relationship at work because of a no dating policy the company has, which proves to be quite interesting at times. When someone from Lucah's past surfaces, Rory has some insecurity issues to "deal" with and Lucah does just that - and he deals with it in a very hot, "fan your face" way. Let me say up front, I was really not looking forward to the dreaded "love triangle" that seemed inevitable and was so happy that despite the apparent "set-up" that Chelsea Cameron had going on, Rory and Lucah again proved to have a solid relationship, and I fan my face just thinking about how clearly solid Lucah demonstrated it was to Rory. Meanwhile, Lucah's brother Ryder is back in the picture and there is a lot of drama going on with him, and of course there is Sloane, Rory's BFF and former roommate, now next door neighbor, who I really came to like in book one and even more so in book two. There is plenty of drama going on with Ryder, and the stress of it takes its toll on Lucah, Rory, and the whole gang, but there is also a lot of good that comes out of it and I really enjoyed seeing the story develop around him, his relationship with his brothers, and his budding relationship with Sloane. I look forward to seeing where Chelsea Cameron is going to take that as the series progresses. The characters are well written and very easy to connect to, as are the secondary characters. Though a little slow in the beginning, the pacing worked for what took place during the course of the novel and completely kept my interest throughout the book. Overall, Surrendering to Us is a great second installment in what is proving to be a romantic, sexy, and humor-filled story with great characters, hot romance, and an interesting plot. If you are a contemporary romance fan, then the Sweet Surrendering Series is one I would recommend adding to your TBR list. Quotes:He moved away from me and picked up the briefcase. He pulled the note from the rest of the stack and put it on my forehead.

I've yet to read a book by Chelsea M. Cameron that I didn't like. More importantly, I have yet to make it through one of her books without snorting and laughing at least a dozen times.Surrendering to Us continues the story of Rory and Lucah (which started in Sweet Surrender). I'm glad that Cameron wrote this book, as SS may have ended with these two together, but it wasn't complete. After all, he still works for Rory, indirectly, as she is the VP of the company (and the daughter of the owner). They can't exactly tell the world about their relationship. I liked watching them work through this issue; sure, they had sex in an office closet one or twice, but they both knew it was not something they could get away with easily, nor was it the best idea. Did it make for some extra steamy scenes? Of course!I liked Rory and Lucah's relationship. Cameron doesn't make it easy, so it seems more realistic. They have not only the working-together issue, but also Rory's best friend, who can be a bit needy, Lucah's bad boy brother, Ryder, who's been in more than his fair share of trouble, not to mention stress at work as the Board tries to get rid of Rory's father – and perhaps her. There's plenty of sexy times, not to mention fun times, but serious subjects are brought up as well, which I liked. For example, they talk about their future. Rory is unsure if she wants marriage and kids, though she loves Lucah. Lucah wants to start their future together, but he's more than happy to wait until she's ready. I appreciated that Rory did not suddenly change, stop working, marry Lucah and start popping out ginger babies. That may be in their future, but not right now.I loved the hotel room scene: Post-It notes, “Mine”, and hot sex. What more could you want? Apparently ginger heroes have great stamina and skills. Plus, I can't forget his tongue ring . . . I can only hope that Ryder and Sloane's book will be just as sexy. He is a ginger, too, after all. Oh, and tatts. Yum!Once again, another fun and extremely sexy romance from Chelsea M. Cameron! I can't wait to read Ryder and Sloane's story, since they've been simmering away since book 1. I admit, I'm not sure how much I will like Sloane as the heroine, but I'll keep an open mind, especially because of Ryder. Gotta love the bad boy trying to change his ways, right? :)4 STARS! ~ * ~ * ~For my full review, including favorite book quotes, please visit my blog, TBQ's Book Palace. I was so so so excited for more Rory and Lucah. And while I did love this book over all there were a few things missing for me.Here's what I loved.Rory and Lucah were in a good place. I loved seeing them happy together. Even when his smoking hot ex shows up- the love between them remains strong. Any doubts Rory has, Lucah drives away in the most delicious ways possible.Which brings me to part two of what I loved. The. Sex. Goddamn ChelCam. You are either so damn creative, one horny lady or some combo of the two and I love you for it. I mean there is no way you can read the sex in this book and then not be like:So have a man or a toy or something on standby.I loved seeing more of Rory's friends and family. The relationship with her family was great as usual. Her parents are wonderful characters. It was also nice to dive into Lucah's family. It was amazing and adorable all at once. And I loved getting a glimpse into Sloane and Ryder's story. I have a feeling their story will be so intense on so many levels and I cannot wait. Those are two characters with a lot of pain on their shoulders and it will be beautiful to see it turn into love between the two of them.So here's what I missed. I thought that I would be ok without all the public office sex-but I missed it a lot.I also thought that where the work drama was concerned that we could have gotten more. It just seemed so unfinished. I am hoping there is a plan for that but I don't see how Sloane and Ryder's story would have anything to do with that so I just felt that it was a bit incomplete. And while I was in love with Rory and Lucah and loved the story line over all, it did take me a little longer than it had in Sweet Surrendering to get hooked. I think it's just hard to make two people living happily ever after with no drama attention grabbing and that is basically what the beginning was. But ChelCam did an AMAZING job even still. She reminded us over and over why we love these two and why they deserve happiness. If you loved the first book you need to read this one. If you have not read the first book- what are you waiting for?? This series is awesome!!Click HERE for my review of the first book in this series: SWEET SURRENDERING.

Surrendering to Us is the second book in the Surrendering Saga by Chelsea Cameron. I was pleasantly surprised by both books. The best way to describe these books is 75% guilty pleasure and 25% pure melted gooiness. Obviously, Lucah makes up the all the gooiness. In the second book, Lucah’s secret has been exposed and now he is working at Clarke Enterprises, but in a different department. Lucah and Rory are now living together and sexing it up almost every other page, until Lucah’s past brings a visitor back into their lives and their place. Also, there is some extra drama at Clarke Enterprises that lends itself as the back story to this novel. One thing I need to get off my chest is my irritation with Sloane, Rory’s best bud. I think that if I was Lucah I would’ve gotten a bit more irritated with her and her neediness. I understand these girls are close, but dear Lord, Sloane needed to get a bit of a grip. Ok, I feel better now….thanks! As for Rory, I think she stayed true to her character in this book. I completely heart her, she is freaking hysterical, is a great friend, and a boss I would totally want to work for. She pretty much seems to put up with no bull-sh*t when it comes to the business world, and I think that sets a positive role for working women. I have to say, I do think her and Lucah’s relationship is something that is actually believable in the real world; not sure how their sex breaks in the middle of the day in the supply room can actually happen, but it does feed my guilty pleasure like I said earlier. Then there is Lucah, oh sweet Lucah. I liked how you learned a lot more about Lucah’s back story and how that molded him into the man that he is today. He is still the sexy God that he was in the first book, but Ms. Cameron added depth to his character in this book. Plus, I need to give the author a shout-out for using the one song I wanted to see mentioned in a book, “Come to Me” by The Goo Goo Dolls. As sappy as it is, I actually got goosebumps during that scene. All in all, this was an enjoyable book and I cannot wait for the third book in the series. This book is not about Lucah and Rory, but about Ryder and Sloane.

Surrendering To Us by Chelsea M. CameronOur review:♥♥♥♥Surrendering to Us is the second book in the Surrendering Saga and let me tell you that it did not disappoint. The book begins with Rory and Lucah finally coming together and all of his secrets have been exposed. He now has a new position within Clarke Enterprises, but he is no longer Rory's assistant. They continue trying to keep the relationship private at work but it so difficult. The company currently has a no employee fraternizing policy. Unfortunately they can't seem to keep their hands off of each other. They engage in some very steamy office antics behind closed board room doors and empty supply closets. We can never have too much secret office sex!It was wonderful to get more of Lucah's history and figure out who and what he really is and where he came from. The blast from Lucah's mysterious past also made for interesting plot twist. It gave the story plenty of drama and had Rory frustrated again! LOL.I loved getting to know more of the supporting characters. Rory's best friend Sloane was refreshing. Chelsea made her character a quite talented fashion designer. She is in the early stages of her clothing design and I am curious to see where she is taking that particular story line. She has only been designing dresses for her and Rory in her home studio. Ryder who is Lucah's troubled little brother also added some very interesting situations and drama to the story. The strange relationship between Sloane and Ryder was an added bonus. I so enjoyed watching these characters develop throughout the story. They were so enjoyable to get to know and very easy to relate to. I can't wait to find out the rest of Rory and Lucah's story. I am hoping that we also see more of Ryder and Sloane. They added so much to the book. I can't wait to see where Chelsea takes us in her next adventure in this series!~~Michele~~

Received An ARC in exchange for an honest review3.5 starsI loved the fast pace and sexually charged of the charts attraction you had in Sweet Surrendering so i was looking forward to reading this and getting back into the relationship between Lucah & Rory and all her friends.I must admit, it was a little slower paced, I took a couple chapters to get going, but enjoyed it once i did. it was a good installment, easy to read, like dropping in on your fav friends and catching up. The chemistry between Lucah and Rory is still HOT, they can't keep their hands off each other, there were some lol moments and bringing his Brother Ryder into the story added Drama and banter...it was great for the story, and Sloane!! and i can not wait for Ryder & Sloane's story which is coming soon.....There is a new assistant, an ex who rocks up in the office, bringing jealousy into the mix, and fallout from the last book at the office still going on which threatens Rory & her father's future at the company...but this drama for me wasn't quite as gripping, with Lucah not her assistant it was a lot less sexually charged and funny, although there is a lot of Chelsea's wit and sass here, for me, I guess i was being greedy and wanted more. ;-) I am hoping and praying that we have more from Lucah & Rory though as i feel that their story is NOT finished, the office drama is not finished. There is a lot of back story i need to know the answers too ;-) I am not above begging!

3.5 Stars*Disclaimer* When I signed up for this Blog Tour I didn't pay attention to the fact that this was the second book in a series so my view of the book may seem a little skewed. I am definitely going to go back and read the first book, Sweet Surrendering though. This book was just OK for me. The writing was good and the characters are great. I really love Lucah (Hello, he braids her hair!! I can't even braid my own hair!) and I already have a crush on Ryder. Rory is awesome, mostly because she is strong and independent; I love female protags like that. There wasn't really any angst in this story so it really just came across as almost a diary cataloging Rory and Lucah's relationship. They have a really sweet story and A LOT of sex but I guess I was just hoping for more drama. I enjoy a little bit of drama. I concede that I might have enjoyed it more if I had read the first one and knew more of their history. That being said, if you are looking for a nice, sweet read with little angst but fun characters then this book is for you. Obviously I think that you should definitely read the first book before you read this one. I know I will be reading it and looking forward to Ryder's story in book #3. *I received an ARC from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the first book Sweet Surrendering. In fact I assumed that book was a standalone so was surprised to see this book which continues Rory and Lucah's story. If you are looking for a book with some angst, this book is not for you. Rory and Lucah have a perfect relationship full of lots of sex, lots of 'I love you's' and Lucah is probably too good to be true! He even blow dries and styles Rory's hair! That aside, they really are a sweet couple and as with the first book, I would have preferred some form of angst but the book is still enjoyable and I like the authors writing style and her wit it's just not a lot really happens in this book and I didn't really see the need for it although we do learn more about Lucah and meet the rest of his family. It definitely sets up the next book which I am looking forward to which is about Lucah's brother Ryder and Rory's best friend Sloane. I am hoping that book has some angst what with Ryder's history. There is scope for many more books in this 'saga'. In this book we are introduced to some new characters in Lilia, Rory's new Assistant and Violet, Lucah's ex girlfriend. I can see those two getting their own books. If you like books with 'nice' characters, a sweet love story and witty dialogue (still smiling at the 'ginger' references!) then you will like this book but you need to read Sweet Surrendering first.

Surrendering to Us picks up where we are left after Sweet Surrendering. Lucah and Rory are together and happy. Despite their love for one another, there are some pretty big challenges put in their path including ex-girlfriends of Lucah's popping up in unexpected places, trouble with Rory's father's company, to struggles with Lucah's brother Ryder. Lots of stress and challenges that could easily throw Rory and Lucah's budding relationship off course. I love Rory, and I love Lucah. Together they are wonderful, and I just kept being excited that they had one another. When each person in the relationship genuinely appreciates the other and tries to support them as much as possible, this is what it looks like. I love that they take the time to figure out what the source of the other's stress is and fix it. There were some pretty tough challenges put in their way in this book, but watching them work their way through showed a lot about who they were and made both of them more endearing to me. Sloane is a really interesting character, and it was nice to get to know more about her in this book as well. I am definitely hoping that we get to see more about her mysterious and complex friendship with Ryder as this series continues. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for some steamy sex and characters you can really care about.

What can I say – this book was exquisite torture all the way through. My heart pounded in my chest as I turbo charged my way through the pages, hoping and praying that everything would be fine. The stress OMG the stress :) It’s the fault of the synopsis obviously, I was anticipating the worse.Rory and Lucah are completely adorable but I didn’t understand why they couldn’t just be open about their relationship. Their careers, especially Rory’s puts them in a precarious situation from the offset. Adding strain to an already fragile foundation due to the way in which their relationship began. Throw in an Ex-girlfriend who knows the ‘real’ Lucah and you have me in a complete panic. I have to mention that Lucah does Rory’s hair, I want this man in my life :)Corporate shenanigans continue while personal pressures, specifically Lucah’s brother Ryder, all add to the dynamic plot. The peripheral characters take on a more central role in preparation for the next book in the series (cannot wait) while adding insight and understanding to the situation and relationships.Chelsea’s writing immerses you into the world of her characters effortlessly. High tension, swoon-worthy romance, Chelsea Cameron at her best.

I am biased in that any book containing Boston references as simple as the T makes me like it even more. This is the second book in this series picking up with Lucah and Rory living together down the hall from Rory's old apartment and best friend Sloan. Living with her boyfriend and living feet away from her bestfriend is the best of both worlds (especially when one gives you multiple orgasms and the other is a fabulous cook who makes you clothes). Lucah and Rory are forced to figure out how to keep their personal life private while at work which is hard to do when every surface in Rory's office makes her think of Lucah in every compromising position possible. The Clarke company is in turmoil after all of the financial scandal and while at work Rory is forced to see the man who has built the company from the ground up as he truly is, her father who is simply human. We finally get to meet the third Blythe brother Tate, his wife April, and their two daughters. Ryder lives up to his bad boy reputation and has a life altering moment that causes him to move in with Lucah and Rory. Is the temptation for another fixer-upper too much for Sloan? Readers will have to wait for the third book to find out.

I started this one as soon as I put the first one down! I was ready for the same thrill as the first book gave me.What I liked: Lucah and Rory! Geesh, their relationship and story keeps getting better and better! This story picks up right from book 1, and I like that a lot. I also like that we see more of Lucah. We meet his brothers, and his nieces (TOO CUTE!). On the flipside, we see more of Rory's mom and dad and I like too. Since everything went down at CE, there is now 'damage control' and Rory is stressed. Not to mention that the board is trying to take away the company from her dad. Rory is dealing with a lot, and Lucah is there to help her in anyway that he can. We get more in depth information about the company as a whole. We see more ups and downs in Rory, making her more real (in my eyes). What I didn't like: There are some 'slow parts'. But that was mainly because of the 'business' of things, HOWEVER, Chelsea does a great job of throwing some twists in there. Other than that, I liked this one as much as the first! Now ... just waiting for more =)

Review of Surrendering to Us (Surrender Saga #2) by Chelsea M. CameronReview done for Hooked on Books3 ½ out of 5 starsThis is book 2 of the Surrender Saga and it continues on with the story of Lucah and Rory.Rory and Lucah are now together; everywhere but at work that is. Lucah has switched departments so that Rory is no longer his boss, but they still have to keep their relationship a secret.Everything is going great until they find out there is a major problem at work involving her father. They need to find out the details before her father loses everything. With the stress of work and having to keep their relationship private, Rory struggles to deal with everything. Now a woman from Lucah’s past is making her nervous. Lucah says there is nothing to worry about but Rory doesn’t think she can trust her.I enjoyed this book and I really like Rory and Lucah but I thought this book just dragged on too much. It was like filler to get to the next book. I still want to know what happens with Rory’s dad and the company and also what Lucah’s ex is really up to.
