Picked up this book, which is quite dated, looking for info about the natural history of the Bay. Although there are good descriptions of many aspects of the ecology of the area, the book is marred by a persistent anti-tidal power rant and some very overwritten descriptions. However, I must say I can agree with this statement: "Ironically, the most enduring legacy of tidal power may well prove to be to our understanding of the ecology of the Bay", which was spurred by concern over the effects of proposed tidal power installations. The technology has come a long way since this book was published, and so has our knowledge about the area.
