barcode cavern of youth barcode 2 Reviews
Book two of the Barcode series. I really enjoyed the first book, "Legend of Apollo" and this one has the same flawed teen characters, same action and adventure, the writing is still good. However, for me it's getting a little too dark and edgy. The swearing and the violence is more profound and there is more sexual content though most of that is teenage talk and references. Not sure if I will finish the series yet. I have a love/hate kind of thing for the story and the characters. There aren't many clear lines to distinguish who's good and who's bad. I prefer a more black and white and less grey in the "good verses evil" story line. This is a somewhat evil verses very evil. Three stars for this one. And the jury isn't in yet on moving on to book three...
I won this book on a book blog. I had never heard of this series before winning this book. I really liked this book. The characters were intense. There was lots of action and fighting. I liked reading about the different descriptions and abilities of the characters. I liked the main character Kode/Kay. He was a very likable character for me. I would highly recommend this book. Reading the first book in the set would probably help understand some of the references in the book.
Great save! After the ending of the first book, I was ready to give up on this series. I am sooo glad I didn't! Way to turn it around! Great characters and I love the plot. Lots of action. I can't wait to get book 3
#MyLifeIsPayneThis along with the rest of the series that i have read so far is probably my favorite series/book I have ever read and i hope the 4th book becomes free as well.
The deus ex machina is strong with this one.
