A very nice and enjoyable short story. If you like romance stories with a bit of spice on them, this is the book for you. The struggle of a mature woman to go on with life after her divorce. When she is thinking that she will be alone for the rest of her life, she meets a hot and gorgeous man, much younger than herself, who will show her that life can be still fully enjoyed. The plot works well, and the story flows effortlessly as you follow the protagonist's train of thoughts. Her feelings are very well depicted, and you get to feel the same as herself. The protagonists are well developed and they are reliable ones. You feel that you can hang out with them and go for lunch or to have some drinks with them. The language used was very suitable for the kind of story it is, and the style makes the story very easy to read. I love that, since sometimes I find difficult to read certain books due to the kind of language used or because they use a very difficult and complex style. It contains sex scenes, but they are described in a delicate way, not sounding rude or dirty at all. So it is very enjoyable to read. Very suitable for a quick reading.

Oh god. I expected this to be bad, and I was ok with that, but this was next level bad. The dialog was forced and filled with cringeworthy tropes. I could practically feel the author beating my head with a hammer, yelling "OLD WOMEN HOT! YOUNG MEN LOVE THEM! YOU HAVE THE SEX NOW!"There's absolutely nothing wrong with an older woman/younger man plot, but this felt more like a religious tract than a romantic story. No opportunity to extol the virtues of older women was wasted. The other book I read in this line was The Space Cougar's Cadet, and while it had all the same tropes, it came across as sweet and kind of adorable. Being Sci-Fi, it had even more potential to suck, but didn't. It can be done, it just didn't happen here.

Davee Jones entertains in her charming, lighthearted novella, On Ellicott Street. After her divorce, Cassie Stewart, a woman in her late forties, focuses on raising her teenage son, Joshua, and sacrifices her personal life in the process. After Joshua acts out in school, Cassie meets Ellicott Street, who runs the program to which Joshua has been referred. Even though Cassie is many years older than Ellicott, she is attracted to the very handsome program coordinator. Quite believably, Jones offers Cassie’s assessment of her own physical attributes and her worries about what a man might think of her curves, sagging skin, and stretch marks. Since I’m of similar age, I could really relate to Cassie as a woman and a mom. At their first meeting, Ellicott sees Cassie as a beautiful and intelligent woman. Therefore, the age difference isn’t important to him. For Ellicott, getting to know Cassie and discovering what makes her happy is of supreme importance, which makes him the best kind of leading man. Ellicott and Cassie are a couple to cheer for because they fit each other, intellectually and physically. Those who love realistically portrayed characters and a beautiful love story will find On Ellicott Street the perfect book to curl up with.I received an eBook copy from the publisher for purpose of an honest review for The Jeep Diva. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.

ARC for Review ~ I also bought the Kindle Version of this book to support the author. WOW! This is not what I expected at all!! It is so much more.. Meet Cassie, a divorced, single Mom raising her son, Joshua, to be a descent person. Displaying confidence in all areas except in personal life. When Joshua has troubles at school and the Principal calls, Cassie is set on a bad ordeal for her son. You know how women protect their young? That is NOT an issue here.Meet Ellicott (Eli), The Director of a new program, called Channels, raised in a loving, nurturing home, knows how to treat a woman as a woman, and not a sex object. Deciding to follow his heat he, wants to help people. I want one. LOLThe world is very real and believable, the twists and turns are just amazing, making this short story even more enticing. The characters are AWESOME!! Couldn't put it down!Davee Jones uses a crisp, clean, and very descriptive writing style making it very clear and easy to follow.I highly recommend this story to anyone 18+, due to graphic sexual content, who wants more than just an erotic read... 5 out of 5 HeartsLovetiggi's Book Reviews

Posted on Romancing the Books blogReviewed by LoriReview COpy from the publisherOk, I have to say that this was a really cute very light book to read away an afternoon. So, the gist of the story is this “older” woman (she’s in her mid 40′s ladies), named Cassie, has this teenage son (Joshua) who has been giving her some heartache at home and at school enrolls him in this after school program that is being run by a very good looking younger man (he’s 30!!!!). I loved the way these two meet up with each other and take things to the next level. Cassie has some hang ups about being older and not as attractive and Joshua, he’s not as much of a putz as you would think a rebellious teenaged boy would be. I’m not giving away Mr. Fabulous’s (younger man), name as that would give something away, which I shant do to you!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story written by Davee Jones. Eli and Cassie's love story was beautifully written with just right amount of humor and passion. As a single mother I can so relate to many of Cassie's hurdles. I had the pleasure of meeting Davee this weekend in Austin and loved her personality. I knew instantly I would enjoy her stories. I cannot wait to read more!!!!!! Happy Reading!!!!

I really did like it. The only thing I didn't like it was to short. But I was intrigued with it. It is funny, sweet, sexy and steamy. If you are in need of a great short book to read.... Take the time to read this one :)

"On Ellicott Street" is a short, very realistic and sweet read. It's one of those reads that you could put yourself or someone close to you in the shoes of the written characters. Very enjoyable!
